• Where is Doran Vineyards located?

  Doran Vineyards is located on the Far Horizons Farm in the Voor Paardeberg wine terroir between Paarl and Riebeek Kasteel. It can be accessed from Durbanville R302 35min, Paarl R45 23min, Malmesbury R45 23min. The nearest towns include Wellington 15min and Riebeek Kasteel 27min. Cape Town International and the V&A Waterfront (where our Carradale 304 flat is situated) are only 54min (75km) away.

• Is Doran Vineyards child-friendly?

  Yes, most definitely. The owners – themselves loving and devoted grandparents – have made the conscious decision to welcome children of all ages, and to encourage them to explore and reconnect with nature. We have a big pool and lake, farm animals, widespread lawns and endless fresh air to keep them busy and entertained. Child-friendly on-site activities include badminton, kayaking, tractor drives, and farm animal feeding.

• What is the maximum number of guests Doran Vineyards Farm Stay can accommodate?

  Our three farmhouses can accommodate a maximum of 14 guests in 7 en-suite rooms: the Manor House sleeps 8 guests in 4 rooms, the Winemaker’s Cottage sleeps 4 in 2 rooms, and the Incipio Cottage sleeps 2 people in 1 room.

• Do you offer breakfast?

  No, Doran Vineyards Farm Stay does not offer breakfast. Our farm cottages are self-catering.

• Do you offer lunch and dinner?

  No, there is no restaurant at Doran Vineyards where guests can have lunch or dinner. We can however provide picnics which can be enjoyed on the lawn, in the vineyards, or on the hill overlooking the Voor Paardeberg mountains.

• What do you charge per night?

  You can find our current rates on doranvineyards.co.za/campaign/#rates. We charge per unit per night – not per person per night. The Manor House can accommodate a maximum of 8 people, the Winemaker’s Cottage a maximum of 4, and Incipio Suite a maximum of 2 people.

• Does Doran Vineyards offer specials or special rates?

  Yes, we often do. Kindly check our Paarl Accommodation page to find out about our current specials.

• Is there a pool at Doran Vineyards?

  Yes, there is a large outdoor pool at the Manor House (exclusive to Manor House guests). Our Incipio and Winemaker’s Cottages do not have a pool, but come with an outdoor tub, which can be heated in winter (wood-fired). In summer, our farm dam is a very popular spot to cool down, swim and kayak.

• Is Doran Vineyards a wedding venue?

• Who owns Doran Vineyards?

  Doran Vineyards is owned by Kovacs Investments 118 (Pty) Ltd and the Doran family with mixed Irish and South African roots. Family is very important to the Doran Family, and that is why they have decided to name selected wines after each family member.
